UM American Indian Alumni Group
The University of Montana Alumni Group was formed in the summer of 2003. Today we reach out to more than a thousand alumni and friends, by helping them stay connected to the University of Montana and each other through events like the annual homecoming dinner and football tickets, Griz football tailgates, and UM Indian alumni merchandise. The UM Indian Alumni Group plays an integral role in the success and viability of UM and its indigenous graduates.

The UM Alumni Band
Last year marked the 30 year anniversary for our spectacular UM Alumni Band. And, WOW, you funloving, enthusiastic people showed up in a grand way! This year will be our 31st anniversary. Let’s do it
right with another big band of over 100 participants!
For the past two years we have had the privilege of participating in the “Circle of Bands” prior to the
start of the parade. This year we will do so again. This gives us the magical opportunity to encourage all
the youngsters from the high school bands and to show them that making music is a lifetime activity. It also
allows us to witness the outstanding Griz Marching Band in action. This year take notice of how
enthusiastically they cheer on each performing band. Their support is phenomenal! It makes me so proud
of our University of Montana Grizzly Marching Band!
The band always welcomes new members. For more information, contact Kathy McCaughey, 406-370-7360.
