Serving as the new President and organizing chair of the UM Alumni Band this year is Scott McKenzie. You may have heard that our fearless leader, Tom Cook, has taken a one-year interim job as the Dean of Fine Arts at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. Last fall, more than 100-plus alums gathered to enjoy our 20th Annual UM Alumni Band Reunion. After a Friday afternoon rehearsal and fun time together, many of the alums gathered together at the Holiday Inn for our annual banquet followed by some great music by our Alumni Jazz Band. The next morning, thousands turned out to watch Saturday's parade, and our enthusiastic Alumni Marching Band wowed the crowd with their energetic music and stellar marching. We also played from the stands and were featured during halftime of the football game as special guests of the University Marching Band. It was a wonderful weekend, and if YOU weren't there, YOU missed out!!!
